My first born daughter, riding on my husbands shoulders with the biggest grin on her face. My little boy lost in the trees in Colorado, at our family’s secret spot. My husband and newborn son forehead to forehead for the first time, a ritual they continue every night. My husband and I lost in one another on our wedding day. My son and daughter holding their newborn baby sister in the hospital.

If you were to walk through my house, these are but a few of the portrayed memories you would see captured in frames hanging on my walls. I frame my favorites, because they capture and preserve seasons of our life that I never want to forget. Some of these seasons reflect a big occasion and some capture small moments, both happy and sad.  But they are all seasons that make our life. 

Photos are beautiful. They are beautiful because, as a collection, they tell our story. They show who we were and who we are, and communicate what moments we value the most as we share our story with others. Photos can sometimes be staged, but are often at their finest when they are simple, raw and real. They can serve to capture moments that unfold quickly; moments that are otherwise soon forgotten.

I am a wife and a mom of three. I also really happen to love people and their stories. As a wife, mom, and photographer, life happens. Sometimes life happens fast, sometimes life happens slow. Either way, I am thankful I have these pictures to look back on. To remember the moments of His goodness in my life. To capture the history of my growth and remind me of the deep grace that He has given me throughout the seasons in my life.
