About Whitney:
Hi, I’m Whitney— a photographer based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where I spend most of my time chasing mountain light, real moments, and the kind of stories you never want to forget.
Life at home is just as full and a little chaotic in the best way—with my amazing husband, our three kids, and three very enthusiastic golden retrievers keeping things lively. It’s that everyday rhythm of family life that deepens how I see and photograph yours.
Because I live in the middle of it myself, I have a natural ease with kids and families. Sessions are relaxed, patient, and playful—never rushed or forced—so your children are free to be themselves while I focus on capturing the real connection happening between you.
I believe photography should feel like something you experience, not just something you pose for. The best images happen in the in-between moments—the laughter you didn’t plan, the wind in your hair, the way your people naturally show up when they’re simply being themselves.

My work is rooted in storytelling.
From seniors stepping into who they’re becoming, to couples in the middle of life-changing moments, to families gathering together in the mountains— I’m drawn to the real, the emotional, and the beautifully unscripted parts of life.
Every session is guided gently, but never overly posed. I’ll give direction when you need it, but I’ll always leave space for things to unfold naturally.

One of my favorite parts of my work is my Senior Collective— an exclusive group experience for Steamboat Springs seniors who want more than just a session.
It’s creative, fun, a little bit styled, a little bit wild, and completely centered around celebrating who you are in this season of life.
